  1. Hello Jon.

Glad to see you’re still involved. I am still involved but I guess I’m a part of the “two party capitalist bourgeoisie” system. Lol. J/K.

Loved the interview. Here’s a few comments.

You mentioned about understanding Marx? I know what you mean, but mine was Dyslexia and ADHD!

The SWP? What a cult! I join because I got swept up in the thinking of the late 60s early 70s. Besides I could go to high school and say “Hey man! I’m a member of the YSA! So don’t mess with me!!” (Yes I was still smoking pot anyways. Who the hell wasn’t. Lol.)

Credibility The SWP thinks everyone is going to just fall in line with their thinking. You know, to be “disciplined educated comrades.”

On today’s generation if they’re disillusioned now then they don’t have the determination or stamina to make change. The crazy right did it to the Republicans. Also, I think the left has to learn to play hardball! Get Hillary elected, then say “Here’s what we want! “XYZ”!

Also, the left screwed up! The right took the working class right out from under them! My God! A Democrat has money?!?! A Democrat went to college?!?!?! That’s a crime! But if a “conservative” does that’s ok! Besides he’s a nice guy! Furthermore, before some of the third parties start to criticize the Dems, remember that the third parties have pretty much never been to the big leagues! Oh wait! One of the times was in 2000. And what was supposed to have happened? Everyone was going to move to the left. Would have you, or myself, ever thought that Bush would have been re-elected after his first term? What happened? They re-elected him! If a person like Bush or Trump gets elected that means the country has gone to the right. Yes they CAN get re-elected and they might like it! And what happened to the Greens? In 2000 including the separate Nader vote both only got a half million or so. I don’t think Gore would have even considered going into Iraq. No one would have but Bush.

Also, since you mentioned Perot, do you remember the Reform Party? Perot was not that conservative. Maybe on a couple of issues but that’s it. He was fairly – I know this is a bad term to use – liberal. He left the Reform Party because he thought people in there “meant what it means to them!” Now there at least two Reform parties and I think they got a total of maybe 1000 votes combined.

Also, I didn’t catch if you left the SWP or if you were purged? You know by the new Lenin Jack Barnes. Lol.

    P.S. Again, good interview!
