Commentary on Facebook by Sam Charles Hamad: Pro-Assad Druze pulled this fellow out of an ambulance and murdered him as the IDF watched on. He was slandered by Israeli Jews and Israeli Druze, for absolutely no good reason, as being a member of Jabhat an-Nusra, yet his name is Munther Khalil and he was a fighter with the Free Syrian Army. In fact, right-wing Israelis are still slandering him and justifying his murder because some injured Syrian fighter being treated in Israel made sectarian statements in an interview with some Israeli TV channel, which apparently means that murdering any Syrian fighter is perfectly understandable.

  1. Some reports say that the Israelis were beaten and fled. I guess the murder of Druze villagers by some elements of the Syrian rebels may have been the reason that the attack occurred. The Druze don’t seem to be too impressed by apologies issued by some of the rebels. The rebels seem to issue a hell of a lot of vile sectarian screeds for a movement committed to a non-sectarian democracy.

  2. Some examples George?

  3. Go to the Angry Arab web site, http://angryarab.blogspot.ca. Enter “FSA sectarianism” and/or ” Syrian Rebel sectarianism” in the search engine. Multiple examples from multiple sources.

  4. Go to the Angry Arab? You might as well go to RT.com or Iran’s PressTV.com.

  5. Angry Arab is simply the gateway. There are multiple sources. People can follow the links and judge for themselves.

  6. Right. I thought for one moment George had an actual argument. This is probably worth reading:

  7. I’ve read Karadjis’ post already. You asked me for examples of Syrian rebel sectarianism. I directed you to a site with a large number of examples. You can accept these reports as credible or not, but there they are. I was not making an independent argument about anything, I was just pointing out that judging by their statements, Syrian rebel groups contain a large number of crazed sectarians- or in your opinion are the Nusra killers of the Druze villagers just some dudes who got a little out of line?

  8. Speaking of RT.com, except for French language sites, RT seems to be the only organization reporting about NSA spying on France to seek info on economic policies (any deal worth more than $200 million etc..). Should we ignore because this is tainted ?
