David Duke’s warning

Ex-KKK leader David Duke: Lay off Steve Scalise or I’ll start naming other pols I met with

David Duke (DavidDuke.com)

In an interview with Fusion.net explaining his connection to current House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), Duke said that he is exceptionally well-connected within the U.S. political class and that charges of racism against him are a product of the media’s “zionist” and “tribalist” mentality.

Incoming Majority Whip Scalise has come under fire over a speaking engagement with Duke’s pro-white EURO (European-American Unity and Rights Organization) foundation in 2002.

According to Duke, the rush to repudiate Scalise and his possible white-nationalist sympathies is “all bullshit.”

“I’ve grown up” since his days as a Grand Wizard of the Klan, Duke told Fusion’s Brett Logiurato via phone. “And I know who the real racists are.”

* * * *

Yeah, and this is one of them:

  1. According to Glenn Reynolds (http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/200437/), the story about Mr. Scalise speaking at the racist EURO conference is not true. He spoke to another group that met at the same hotel earlier the same day.

  2. I don’t know if he spoke or not but he definitely accepted an invitation:

    Kenny Knight, a longtime political adviser to former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, said in an interview Tuesday that he personally invited House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) to speak to a 2002 gathering of white supremacists.

    “He was my neighbor,” Knight said of Scalise, who was serving as a state representative at the time of the conference. “I asked him to be the first speaker before the meeting kicked off.”

    By 2002 David Duke had made the same kind of transition that Marine Le Pen made in France, shedding the more obvious KKK/Neo-Nazi coloration.

    Furthermore, Knight was the head of the Jefferson Heights Civic Association that Scalise *did* speak to by everybody’s admission. You get the impression that Scalise’s purpose at the hotel that day was to talk to some community group that had no connection to the white nationalist gathering, and that maybe his memory was playing tricks with him. You only can guess what was on the agenda of the Jefferson Heights Civic Association that was run by David Duke’s top adviser on that day or most days. I imagine it was not about keeping the neighborhood sidewalks free of dog poop but rather keeping it free of kikes, niggers and spics.

  3. One last thing: I find the campaign of the NYPD “Cop Party” against the DeBlasio Admin far more politically interesting, for what is says about the real mechanics of the U.S. political regime today. The police are the only real “well-regulated militia” of 2nd Amendment stripe left, and like the 19th century militias, they are very political. Of course this is also agiprop using the fortuitous killings of the 2 NYPD cops, in an effort to put an end to the Ferguson movement that went on for several weeks prior to the holidays. Now all of a sudden one can hear reports of unnamed ” copycat threats against police” being floated in the local commercial news media (in the SF bay Area), and the local commercial media are of course totally in bed with the Cop Party, as that is their main news feed alongside the predictable daily rush hour traffic jam.

    Likewise here in San Jose, the largest city in the SFBA and centered on strategic Silicon Valley, the recent election of San Jose mayor Sam Liccardo, a standard issue “neo-liberal” right winger elected in a record low turnout, who saw his main opposition be, well, the local Cop Party, the SJPD, over pensions. it’s getting down to the bone when the only thing left to hack away at is your local repressive force.
