  1. When he mentions what happened earlier in the week, in a street demo, notice how the police leave a van in the middle of the road, valuable public property just abandoned on purpose, trying to bait protestors into vandalism that they can then video and use as propaganda, you know, first against “anarchists” then “Communists” and so on, propagating the lie that more police are needed, that is, more “security”.

When you’ve have a ruling class that’s managed to expropriate more wealth in 35 years than all of previous human history combined you can be sure that they’re going to need a lot of “security” to protect their ill-gotten gains, a police state that will force working people to organize just for basic democratic demands, Dejavu all over again, like we’re back at the end of the 19th century.

Capitalism IS organized crime. Crime and Justice are antagonists. If humans are genetically predispositioned to seek justice, that is, if they have a justice “gene”, and I believe they do, then a resurgence of Marxist thinking about the state of the world and the capitalist order is in store for the future, especially if 15 year olds start experiencing the power of solidarity. Unfortunately, no class exhibits as strong a solidarity right now as the imperialist bourgeoisie.

  2. Appropo that on the anniverssary of England’s “Glorious Revolution” the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall get accosted by a rowdy mob of youth protesting tuition hikes urging “off with their heads” with jeers of “Tory Scum.”

  3. You are certainly seeing a radicalisation of the younger generation over here, the reaction of the older generation is more mixed!

    Boy, that kid is good!
